86. Limits and Punishments set by Allah (Hudood)

Narrated by:Ibn `Umar

Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) cut off the hand of a thief for stealing a shield that was worth three Dirhams.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطَعَ فِي مِجَنٍّ ثَمَنُهُ ثَلاَثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ‏.‏تَابَعَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ قِيمَتُهُ
