36. The Book of Drinks

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade (preparation) of Nabidh in gourd, in hollow stump and in varnished jar.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْبَهْرَانِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، حوَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي، عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ ‏.‏
