36. The Book of Drinks

Sahl reported that Abu Usaid al-Sa'idi came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ; the rest of the hadith is the same, but he did not mention this:when he had eaten (the food) she gave him this to drink".

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلاً، يَقُولُ أَتَى أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَدَعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ فَلَمَّا أَكَلَ سَقَتْهُ إِيَّاهُ ‏.‏
