48. The Book of Adornment

Narrated by:'Ali said

It was narrated that 'Ali said:"The Prophet [SAW] forbade me from Al-Qassi, silk, gold rings, and that I recite Qur'an while bowing." Hisham contradicted him, he did not narrate it in Marfu' form.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ نَهَانِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْقَسِّيِّ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَأَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا ‏.‏ خَالَفَهُ هِشَامٌ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ‏.‏
