12. The Chapters on Business Transactions

Narrated by:'Alqamah bin 'Abdullah that his father said

It was narrated from 'Alqamah bin 'Abdullah that his father said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade breaking the coins of the Muslims that are in circulation among them, without any necessary reason.”(1)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالُوا أَنْبَأَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فَضَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنْ كَسْرِ سِكَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ الْجَائِزَةِ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَأْسٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
