15. The Chapters on Charity

It was narrated from Samurah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“The hand that takes is responsible for what it has taken until it returns it.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
