02. The Book of the Prayer

Narrated by:'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:"The Messenger of Allah rebuked us for staying up (talking) after the 'Isha'."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ جَدَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ ‏.‏ قَالَ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ يَعْنِي زَجَرَنَا عَنْهُ نَهَانَا عَنْهُ ‏.‏
